About ForeverGlides®
The ForeverGlide® has been developed to eliminate a major nuisance problem in the outdoor patio furniture marketplace. For some 50 years, quality iron patio furniture has been manufactured and distributed around the world. Amazingly, the functional design components have remained the same: a typical iron mesh seat and back with solid iron legs. At the end of these millions of iron legs, an inverted steel cup is welded – more or less horizontally – in place. From the factory, a thin plastic cup is pressed up into the confines of this outer, inverted steel cup – providing only a thin wear layer that "mirrors" whatever position the steel cup was welded in.

Worn cup glides can cause serious surface damageThe inconsistency and inaccuracy of the factory weld – coupled with the now "tipped" glide is only part of the problem! When the furniture is put to use, the uneven surface on virtually anyone’s patio, deck or pavers, multiplies the wear and failure. As pressure is exerted downward, the plastic cup glide distorts further – grinding through whatever portion is making contact – as the furniture moves around on the abrasive, uneven floor. The result is worn-through glides that now freely pop out. The steel cup that once housed the glide, begins scraping and gouging, damaging expensive decks and floors, creating screeches much like the foreboding fingernails-down-the-chalkboard! All this usually occurs within the first season or two... this expensive, lifetime-rated furniture ends up causing damage, undue displeasure and expense.

Now there is a solution! Max Tech’s revolutionary Forever Glide addresses and SOLVES all these problems at once! It is a reinforced engineering grade plastic disc that is affixed with a thick, high density, foam tape. This industrial-grade double stick equalizer, shaped like a donut, allows for several unique benefits. The cut-out provides room for the internal "weld blob" underneath the metal cup of the chair. Next, it becomes the self-leveling cushion to automatically "float" and conform to the chairs’ imperfections and the continually changing surfaces of the outdoor realm. Finally, it creates the flexible bond to the new, thick wear layer of the Forever Glide.

ForeverGlidesNow we have complete, continuous contact of a safe, comfortable and quiet wear surface – with essentially any deck or patio surface that could be encountered. In addition, the wearing surface in contact is approximately 1/8" thick – instead of just a few thousandths...leading to many years of satisfied, safe use.

The result is a customer that is finally really happy with their patio furniture: happy because they aren’t wobbling whenever they sit down; happy that their decks aren’t getting shredded; happy that someone has made something to make their life a little easier and more maintenance free.... Comfortable, happy, satisfied customers is what we are all about.
